About Novice Group 10
As indicated by its name, this is the N.E.C.C.'s entry-level class. This class has been changed from its previous Junior Group 10 format. It is open to all ages of racers and the intent is a beginning racer class. Track owners and Race Directors will be responsible for authorizing and de-authorizing novice racers. This class will be open to racers that are new to the hobby and relatively inexperienced in series racing events.
This class uses a sealed handout motor, which is provided by the series. Motors are handed out the day of the race, upon signup.
While certainly no slouch in the speed department, the Novice and Senior Group 10 classes are the two 'slowest' classes run during an N.E.C.C. event, and are well-suited to people who want to try running the series for the first time.
Restrictions: The Novice Group 10 class is restricted to inexperienced racers who do not have extensive series racing experience. Any driver in Novice Group 10 who wins this championship will not be allowed to compete in this class in any subsequent seasons.
Novice Group 10 Rules
Rules specific to the Novice Group 10 class are broken down into categories and listed below for convenience.
